1780-1820 British Regency Caps Pattern
1780-1820 British Regency Caps Pattern

CWH03 - 1780-1820 British Regency Caps Pattern. View A, B, & D are seen very frequently from the late 18th to early 19th century by laboring to middling sort women. View E is a cap worn by working class women shown in many of Pyne's British sketches. View C is an unusual example of a naive American young woman of about 1810. These styles of caps often were adorned with silk ribbons in bright pastel colors in widths from medium to quiet wide. These are designed for the lower and middle class lady of the period. All are taken from period paintings, drawings, and sketches, including those by Pyne. These caps often had pretty ribbons around the band in bright or pastel colours and medium to wide widths This pattern is historically accurate and drafted based on solid research and documentation of literally hundreds of extant examples. It has excellent engineering and very clear sewing instructions as well as recommendations as to historically appropriate materials. Include instructions for the novice seamstress along with options for more experienced seamstresses. Regency, Colonial, American Revolutionary War, Indian Wars, Pride and Prejudice, Sense and Sensibility, French Civil War.
