1850s-1860s Drawers and Petticoat
1850s-1860s Drawers and Petticoat

Throughout the nineteenth century, drawers were generally two tubes that frequently overlapped at the front and were either set into a waistband or onto a drawstring. The petticoat is the typical gathered petticoat set into a waistband that fastens in the back. It is worn over a small hoop. The original fabric is a medium-weight, high thread count white cotton sheeting. This pattern multi-sized 10 through 20. The Drawers require 2-1/8 Yds. and the Petticoat requires 3-1/3 Yds. of 45 inch wide fabric
