RC919 - 1830s-1900 Trousers Pattern. Fits waists 28"-50". All sizes included in one envelope. This pattern for trousers circa 1830s through 1900 based on extant examples and contemporary tailor's guides. In the 19th century, trousers went from the simple leg coverings of farmers to the proper evening wear of the aristocracy. This is our full-size paper pattern with complete instructions and historical notes for men's trousers circa 1830-1900 based on extant examples and period talior's manuals. Pattern includes the early version's instep strap and the later shaped bottoms. Fits waists 28"-50". All sizes included in one envelope. Embellishment suggestions included. Suggested Fabrics: wool, heavyweight silk lightweight silk or linen for lining Yardage Requirements: outer material & interlining: 3 yds at least 60" wide lining: 3 yds at least 60" wide Notions: thread 2 - 7/8" buttons for waistband 2-5 - 5/8" buttons for fly closure buttonhole floss. Great for Naopoleanic and Regency, Pride and Prejudice, Sense and Sensibility, Mr. Darcy, Elizabeth Bennett impressions or fancy modern look. Also makes a great early have of 1800ís or Victorian impression.
