Oak Leaf Greenman Pendant (Solid Pewter)
Oak Leaf Greenman Pendant (Solid Pewter)

RJ462 - Oak Leaf Greenman Pendant (Solid Pewter). Large Pendant with Chain. This is a large and highly detailed pendant. This greenman has deer antlers and is covered in oak leaves. The back of this pendant is textured. It comes with a 24 Inch, stainless steel chain with a sliver wash. This greenman is 1 and 5/8 inches high and was hand cast in jeweler's pewter. A Green Man is a sculpture, drawing, or other representation of a face surrounded by or made from leaves. Branches or vines may sprout from the nose, mouth, nostrils or other parts of the face and these shoots may bear flowers or fruit. Commonly used as a decorative architectural ornament, Green Men are frequently found on carvings in churches and other buildings (both secular and ecclesiastical). Primarily it is interpreted as a symbol of rebirth, or "renaissance," representing the cycle of growth each spring.
