YT005 - Shoshone Moc Pattern. Authentic Shoshone Moc in Sizes (5-10). Simple mocs but with a wide range of decoration possibilities. These have 8" tops and are a pull-on with drawstring tops and inset, welted soles. Style A has three banks of fringe, one on each side of a front panel and one in the outer side seam. Style B is the same as A but cuff is rearranged so not to cover front center panel. Beadwork is then added. Style C uses one or more cuffs but no fringe. Style D with extra thongs added, lacing up the front panel can either be functional or purely for looks. Style E is a combination of all or part of the above styles: fur, colors, beads or paint. Pow-wow (also powwow or pow wow ) is a gathering of North America's Native people. The word derives from the Narragansett word powwaw, meaning "spiritual leader". A modern pow-wow is a specific type of event where both Native American and non-Native American people meet to dance, sing, socialize, and honor American Indian culture. There is generally a dancing competition, often with significant prize money awarded. Pow-wows vary in length from one day session of 5 to 6 hours to three days.
