What is the turn around time for shipping?
Our goal is within 1 business day. We customarily ship within 1 - 2 business days of receiving you order. Express orders are always 1 business day or the customer will be notified of any delays by email.
How are items shipped?
We ship using USPS mail. We offer Several shipping choices via USPS Mail for domestic and international shipping.
Domestic 1st Class or Parcel Shipping:
This takes 3-9 business days. We ship orders by USPS 1st class unless they are excessive in weight (some items are very heavy), which could turn into a parcel shipping.
Domestic Priority mail takes 2-3 business days. This is a flat rate cost regardless of the size of the order. We recommend this for customers who are on a limited time schedule as the most economical method to receive you order quickly. Please remember that Priority mail does not have a guarantee like Express mail. If you would like a guarantee, please select Express mail.
This is customarily 1 business days, though some small towns and rural areas are 2 days. You can visit the USPS website at www.usps.com to determine what the guarantee is for your area. With this method the US Postal service guarantees delivery or your shipping is returned to you. The customer is responsible for making a claim for any failure on the part of the US Post office.
International USPS Air mail costs depend on the region. Please look at the shipping option closely and choose the correct one as they are linked to quantities mostly.
International priority mail l costs depend on the region. If the shipment cannot fit safely into a flat rate international priority mail envelope, the cost will increase due to it becoming a non-flat rate shipment.
We want to ensure your order is correct and do everything we can to fix any issues in shipping or manufacture. Items may be exchanged when incorrectly shipped or defective in manufacture for 10 days from the date shipped. Because of the ease with which patterns and books may be copied and the addition difficulty in ensuring all pieces of a pattern are in new/resalable shape; we are unable to accept returns on items unless there is an error on the part of Patterns of Time. We will consider special circumstances on a case by case basis, but in these instances exchanges will only be for "in new resalable shape" items and a return authorization must be obtained before the item is shipped. If an exception is made on a return that is not an error on the part of Patterns of Time, a 20% restocking fee will be assessed. Customer will be responsible for all actual shipping charges. Any items sent to Patterns of Time without receiving prior authorization will be disposed of and no refund will be provided. We cannot take responsibility for accepting or tracking items returned under such circumstances.
We do not share, sell, or provide any of your personal data to anyone, ever. When you sign up for our email list, we use this email list internally to send you a notification approximate 4-6 times a year about new products or services from Patterns of Time which may be of interest. At no time will we provide any of you personal information to a third party.
Because identity theft is such a growing issue today; we destroy all paper documents and NEVER maintain your card number on file. While this will cause you to input your card number each time you make an order with us; it also ensures that our data files will not be compromised and your information stolen by a third party.
