LM201 - Crafts Pattern 201 - Victorian Boot by Laughing Moon Mercantile.
Instructions to stitch and construct an Opera Boot as a craft. This pattern requires experienced sewing and crafting skills. These boots are not suitable for actual wear. This boot can stand on its own. View C is a small size, 3-dimensional replica of a Victorian boot that could be used as a pincushion, doorstop, or decorative object. It has a faux side buttoning option. The dimensions are 7 ½” long, 9 ¼” tall, and 2 5/8” wide at the widest point. The Elf Toe makes it 9” long. The individual pattern pieces of View C will fit in a 5” x 7” hoop for embroidery. This pattern is a companion to Laughing Moon Mercantile Machine Embroidery Opera Boot #301, but the embroidery is not necessary to make these boots. Fabric: Any light to medium weight fabric. Card Stock: Pasteboard, poster board, or Card Stock of 65 lb. weight. Discarded cereal or tissue boxes are suitable as well. Notions: Knee high or children’s knit long stocking, or tights cut off. Fabric Glue. Optional: 14-3/8” eyelets and an eyelet insertion tool. Optional: Fishing Sinker or small weight. Any decorative elements such as beads, ribbons, embroidery, trim, buttons, rhinestones, sequins, etc. as desired. Stuffing: Ground Walnut Hulls, Sawdust, Polyfill, Wool Roving, Cotton, Sand for a Doorstop. Optional: 2” Wooden Spool for heel
