1940-41 Misses' and Women's Two-Piece Dress

Size: 32" bust, 26-½" waist, 35" hips. This pattern was published by The Simplicity Pattern Company. It was originally described as "Misses' and Women's Two-Piece Dress. The blouse, dart-fitted at the neckline and waist, is finished with a simple, round neck and buttons to the waist, where it is finished with waistcoat-like points. Diagonal welt pockets trim the upper blouse. The skirt has an easy flare. Choose smart, three-quarter length, or long, fitted sleeves." Detailed illustrated directions. Pattern dates circa 1940-41. Suggested fabrics: Velveteen, pique, linen, rayon crepe, bengaline, wool jersey, moss crepe, checked spun rayon, novelty rayons, and rabbit hair cloth. The colors were red, black, scarlet, navy, and henna rust. Materials required: 3-½ Yds. 36" fabric.
