RJ410 - Celtic Beasties Panel Brooch. Solid Pewter. Zoomorphic Panel Brooch. Size: 2" high X 1" wide. This extraordinary, carved, panel brooch was created by James E. Boyle using a ancient zoomorphic design on a Celtic Stone for inspiration. These Celtic Beasties are very dragon-like and strongly resemble Norse carvings and may in fact reflect Norse influence. The piece is hand cast in lead-free jeweler's pewter in our studio and is polished to a warm, antique finish to bring out the detail. The findings are hand soldered and the hinged pin is secured by a safety clasp.
